Factor Warranty Details

At Factor, we stand behind the quality of every frame, bike, and component we build. If you are experiencing an issue with your product, we want to help you resolve it as quickly as possible. Our Limited Lifetime Warranty protects original owners against defects in materials or workmanship on frames and framesets. If you purchased your Factor through an authorized dealer, please connect directly with that shop to file your claim. Claims submitted here are only for customers who purchased through FactorBikes.com. To begin, you’ll need proof of purchase, your bike’s serial number, and clear photos of the issue. Full details on coverage, exclusions, and the claim process can be found below. Please review them carefully before submitting your request so we can ensure your claim is handled smoothly and fairly.

What’s Covered

• Lifetime coverage for frames and framesets (original owner).

• 1-year coverage for Factor components subject to normal wear and tear (see Owner’s Manual/Technical Supplement).

• Third-party components covered only by their manufacturer’s warranty

What’s Not Covered

• Paint, finish, decals, fading, or cosmetic wear (including marks from Black Inc Aero Bottle Cage).

• Normal wear and tear on drivetrain, wheels, brakes, suspension, bearings, and other consumable parts.

• Damage from accidents, neglect, abuse, misuse, improper handling, or poor maintenance.

• Use for competition, stunts, downhill, abnormal or commercial activities.

• Failure to follow the Owner’s Handbook or improper assembly.

• Use of devices or components not intended for Factor bicycles.

• Unauthorized modifications or repairs.

• Use of single-piece press-fit bottom brackets.

• Labor, transport, shipping, duties, or other associated costs.

• Any specifications provided by the customer.

Factor Bikes Limited Lifetime Warranty on Bicycles and Framesets

Coverage

Factor warrants to the original owner that each new Factor bicycle or frameset is free from defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty is valid for the lifetime of the original owner, subject to the following conditions:

• The bicycle is used under normal conditions.

• The bicycle is properly maintained in accordance with the Owner’s Handbook.

Duration

• Frames and Framesets: Lifetime coverage against defects.

• Factor Components subject to normal wear and tear: One (1) year from the date the customer takes possession of the bicycle.

• Third-Party Components: Covered only under the original manufacturer’s warranty.

  • Wear-and-tear components are identified in the Technical Supplement and/or User Manual supplied with the bicycle.

Additional Conditions

• This warranty applies only to the original owner and remains valid only while the original owner retains ownership.

• If the bicycle is purchased as a gift, the recipient is considered the original owner.

• To exercise warranty rights, the bicycle or frameset must be presented to Factor or an authorized Factor dealer, with proof of purchase (receipt, bill of sale, or other written record identifying the serial number).

• This warranty is not transferable.

Exclusions & Limitations

This warranty, and any implied warranty, does not cover the following:

Cosmetic / Finish

• Paint, decals, fading, or other cosmetic issues due to normal use or UV exposure.

• Marks or scuffs caused by the Black Inc Aero Bottle Cage (cosmetic wear from contact is not a defect).

Normal Wear and Tear

• Drivetrain, wheels, brakes, suspension, bearings, or similar consumable parts.

Improper Use or Damage

• Accidents, neglect, abuse, willful damage, or improper handling.

• Competitive, abnormal, or commercial use (including downhill, jumping, or training for such events).

• Failure to follow the Owner’s Handbook.

• Improper assembly.

• Use of devices/components not originally intended for the bicycle. Use of single-piece press-fit bottom brackets (not approved and may damage the bottom bracket shell).

Repairs / Modifications

• Any modification not required by law.

• Alteration or repair by anyone other than an authorized Factor technician.

Costs Not Covered

• Labour and/or transport charges for replacement, repair, return, or changeover.

Other

• Any specification provided by the customer.

Remedy

Unless otherwise required by law, the sole remedy under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement of defective parts with parts of equal or greater value, at Factor’s sole discretion.

Factor is not responsible for direct, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to:

• Personal injury,

• Property damage,

• Economic loss, whether based on contract, warranty, negligence, product liability, or other theory.

Legal Notes

• Nothing in this warranty excludes or limits Factor’s liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited by law.

• Unless you are a consumer, Factor makes no other warranties, express or implied. All implied warranties, including merchantability, reasonable care, and fitness for purpose, are disclaimed.

• Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on incidental or consequential damages, so these exclusions may not apply to you.

Miscellaneous

• If Factor prevails in a court action, the customer agrees to reimburse Factor for expenses, including attorneys’ fees. Claims made outside the country of purchase may be subject to additional fees or restrictions.

• Warranty details and duration may differ by country. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, which may vary by jurisdiction.

• If any provision of this warranty is held unenforceable, the remainder shall continue in effect.

• The English version of this warranty prevails over any translation.

Governing Law

This warranty is governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with this warranty or its subject matter.
